Hi I am new on the forum, I have been making herbal soaps for about 2 years now, and want to start making lotion bars. Does anyone know of a good place to buy tins, and what size? I was looking at 2 oz tins, but I am not sure of the molds. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi-  I just purchased 2 & 4 oz tins from out of Seattle.  These are food quality, which they don't need to be for a lotion bar, but they have a nice finished look to them and don't tend to corrode as plain tin would.  I will be using the 4 oz tins for round soaps and could not put anything corrosive in a regular tin.  These are coated and look really nice. Smiley If you want the regular ones, they can be purchased through  I found the prices comparable.

try Michaels store, they have the square tins seen in picture below. 30 tins for 19.99, but they often have 40 or 50% off one item, so you may get it for 10 or 12+tax. Nobody beats that price.
