I keep hanging onto my empty EO bottles in hopes that I can find a use for them or give them to someone who could use them for something or get them refilled.  Does anyone have any ideas, or should I just put them in the recycle bin?

I find that soap making produces a lot of empty plastic bottles...recycle?  I do.

Theres lots of things you can do with glass bottles.  But the EO bottles are dark so it would probably just make a night light or something... maybe an oil lamp, something like this http://www.designbuzz.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/bottle-chandelier_7449.jpg

I look at what people have done with the dark beer bottles to come up with ideas.

Oh, another idea for EO bottles.  Liquid soap.  Ok... not for shampoo or liquid body soap thats meant to be in the bathroom cause glass and the bathtub is a bad idea... but a kitchen soap, and get some kind of chain or charm to put around the neck to dress it up and look decorative and maybe use one of those spouts you see in liquor bottles at the bar and sometimes olive oil bottles... if you happen to have a clear bottle swirl 2 colors of soap or use glitter or something to make it look fancy.  Will people buy it?  YES!

When my soaps are cured enough to take them off the rack, I put them in shoeboxes with the uncapped bottle inside. Or put them in your drawers. I like the soap dispenser idea too.

Depending on how you buy your essential oils, I purchase several from essential depot in the 1kg size, these should really be taken out of that bottle and put into the dark glass bottles. I wish I had your extras  Wink, anyhow those 1kg canisters, they say the lining will be eaten away in about 18 months.

I save my empty, washed, eo/fo bottles to re-use. I have had some eo's and fo's come in plastic bottles and the scents do not hold up well in plastic. At least not for me. They even recommended transferring to glass bottles. I also pour small amounts of scents that are in lb bottles into smaller bottles. I use masking tape to write all pertinent info on and tape it to the bottles. Easy on and easy off when that bottle is finished.   Cheesy

I just started making my own eo's and am saving the bottles to store my oils in.
